In the PCI DSS compliance support, Splunk Enterprise will be a recommended SIEM tool to track and monitor all access to network resources and cardholder data, which is one of the twelve PCI DSS requirements.  As Splunk Enterprise is a self-sustained package, one can scale out the log monitoring facility to improve the performance by just adding the package to the system without concerning the constraints of existing SIEM tools, which is a great advantage to maintain the security system.
