BroadBand Security initiates the PCI 3DS compliance support consulting and PCI 3DS assessment service
Tokyo – May 24, 2018 – BroadBand Security Inc. (BBSec), a leading IT security service provider, announced today that is certified as a “PCI 3DS Assessor Company” by PCI SSC, the PCI DSS*1 Management Organization to start the “PCI 3DS compliance-support consulting and PCI 3DS assessment service”
In a circumstances with increase of credit card abuses, it is a big challenging issue for the credit card companies to improve the security in Card Not Present transaction of mobile and e-commerce payments. In order to address this issue, PCI SSC, which is founded mainly by the international payment brand, has prepared various compliance programs such as PCI DSS to make effort to improve card data security in the related companies.
In such a situation, PCI SSC announced PCI 3DS, a personal authentication service in October 2017 which has been implemented by credit card brands such as VISA, JCB, MasterCard, and others. BroadBand Security Inc. (hereafter referred to as BBSec) has been certified as a PCI 3DS assessor company since April 2018.
“PCI 3DS compliance support consulting and PCI 3DS assessment service” initiates with GAP analysis between the current status and required status and PCI 3DS consulting through on-site assessment consistently in order to implement 3-D Secure in the clients’ information systems.
Main features of the services are described below:
- Assessment and accreditation are available in Asia and Europe markets.
- Compliant-supports in multiple languages are available.
- BBSec has various templates and know-hows required for the client to be compliant, from the long-term activities as a PCI Qualified Security Assessor company.
- BBSec is qualified also as PCI P2PE Qualified Security Assessor company as well as PCI DSS and PCI 3DS. It enables the compliant-support from various viewpoints.
- Since BBSec has provided PCI DSS-compliant service as well as security consulting for various scaled-clients all over the world and possesses various resources like as “customer feedback”, BBSec can provide consulting just optimal to the current status of each of the clients.
PCI 3DS is subject to all organizations such as Issuer, interoperability domain (e.g. PSP such as payment agencies for credit cards), and acquirer/merchant.
Furthermore, it is much more expected that many corporations and companies will concern about being compliant with PCI 3DS in the future because a promotional measures do not cause any charge-back when being notified as abused even merchants performing e-commerce introduced 3-D Secure.
